Maternity Leave

Maternity leave provides time away from work to support the health and personal needs of pregnancy, childbirth, and bonding with your new baby. This benefit includes income protection and job security, along with planning support before, during, and after your time away. Once you’ve registered your leave with Human Resources, an HR representative will help guide you through the process.

If you’re welcoming a child but not giving birth, please refer to our Parental Leave section in the Employee Handbook for information on bonding leave.

Generally, maternity leave includes three components – Short-Term Disability (STD), Paid Parental Leave, and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The guide below provides information on your time away and a checklist for before and after your baby arrives.
